Terms & Conditions
General booking conditions and the policies that apply to each service. Please read our general terms, cancellation rules and the section for your chosen service.
Version: 21 October 2026 · Subject to management and legal approval
General Booking & Facility Terms
Applicable to all services unless a more specific policy is stated.
Booking and accurate information
Bookings are subject to availability, suitability, any assessment requirements and confirmation. Owners must give accurate contact, emergency contact, veterinary, vaccination, health, behaviour and handling information, and promptly notify us of any change. We may refuse or stop a service where reasonably necessary for welfare, health or safety, giving an explanation where practicable.
Care, welfare and inherent risks
We exercise reasonable care and skill in providing our services. Dogs are living animals and may react unexpectedly even with appropriate supervision. Ordinary risks include minor abrasions, fatigue, communicable illnesses, and interactions between dogs. Owners must disclose any history of biting, guarding, escape attempts, aggression, distress or other relevant concerns. We cannot guarantee that any dog will be suitable for a group environment.
Liability and owner responsibility
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury resulting from our acts or omissions, or remedies under applicable consumer law. Where a loss is caused by a failure by Creedons to exercise legally required care and skill, statutory remedies remain available. Owners are responsible for loss, damage and reasonable veterinary or medical costs arising from their dog’s actions to the extent legally attributable to them; this is not an automatic admission of fault or a transfer of liability for Creedons’ own negligence. Where reasonably established, we may seek recovery of documented costs of damage to property caused by the dog.
Prices, payment and bookings
Prices and relevant fees will be displayed before the booking is completed and the confirmed booking price applies unless a change is expressly agreed. Payment and deposit requirements are those disclosed for the chosen service at checkout. Unpaid bookings may be subject to the disclosed payment process. Any extra expense or charge must be reasonable, clearly disclosed when practicable and consistent with applicable law.
Health, vaccination and parasites
Dogs must be in suitable health and have the veterinary-recommended vaccinations required by Creedons, currently described in our existing policy as “7 in 1” and kennel cough. Owners must supply valid evidence when first attending and when renewed or requested. Dogs should be kept on appropriate flea, tick and worm prevention. Dogs with signs of infectious illness or parasites may be refused admission or isolated pending safe collection. Owners must tell us promptly about illness, exposure, medication, injuries and recent surgery.
Leads and collars
Dogs must arrive and leave on a lead wearing a suitable breakaway collar with a name tag and contact number. Prong, choke or other collars considered unsafe or aversive are not permitted. Alternative safe arrangements must be agreed in advance if medically necessary.
Emergency veterinary care and pre-authorisation
Owners authorise us to seek prompt veterinary advice and appropriate treatment where we reasonably consider this necessary for the dog’s welfare, first attempting to contact the owner and then the nominated emergency contact where practicable. Please specify the maximum veterinary expenditure you pre-authorise in your booking intake form. That figure helps us make non-urgent financial decisions; where urgent treatment is required to prevent serious suffering, we may seek essential care without waiting for consent, subject to applicable law and professional veterinary judgement. Owners are responsible for properly incurred treatment and transport costs to the extent legally appropriate, without prejudice to liability for any fault by Creedons. We will inform owners as soon as reasonably possible.
Communications and changes
Owners must be contactable and provide an authorised collection person. Please notify us of behavioural, medical, medication, household or routine changes that may affect your dog. Material changes to confirmed bookings or service policies will be communicated as appropriate; a new version of these terms will not retrospectively override a confirmed booking without a lawful basis.
Doggie Daycare
For group daycare and daycare assessments.
Assessment and suitability
Daycare is not suitable for every dog. We may shorten or end an assessment where a dog is distressed, unsafe or unsuitable; the booked introduction fee remains payable for an assessment undertaken, subject to statutory rights and any failure to provide the contracted service.
Behaviour monitoring
We supervise interactions and may issue behaviour warnings or “strikes”. Three strikes within two months may result in indefinite withdrawal from daycare. We may withdraw a dog immediately for a serious incident or unsafe handling, aggression, repeated escape attempts or severe distress. Safety decisions are made reasonably and recorded.
Social maturity and absence
Some dogs become less comfortable in group care as they mature. We will communicate material changes in compatibility. After an absence of three months, a mini-assessment is required before restarting daycare.
Health, stitches and activity
Unwell dogs and dogs exposed to infectious disease must remain away until appropriate veterinary clearance. Dogs with stitches or recovering from surgery cannot attend until stitches are removed or dissolved and veterinary clearance is provided. Physical play can result in tiredness, sore muscles, minor abrasions or other injuries.
Daycare collection and late fees
Owners or their pre-approved agents must collect dogs by 6:45pm. If staff are available and agree to stay, a late fee of €10 is charged for each started 15-minute period after 6:45pm. If collection cannot be safely accommodated, the dog may be transferred to Cherry’s emergency hotel for overnight care at €40 per night, with reasonable disclosed transport costs if applicable. We will make reasonable efforts to contact you and your emergency contact. A delayed collection does not of itself mean the dog is legally abandoned.
Cancellation
Daycare bookings: 48 hours’ notice before the appointment, subject to the 24-hour voluntary grace period and statutory rights in the cancellation section.
Dog Day School
A structured day of learning and care; not a guarantee of a particular training outcome.
Participation and suitability
Dog Day School enrolment may require an assessment, current health information and suitable handling arrangements. We may adapt activities, provide rest or decline group participation where reasonably needed for welfare and safety.
Training expectations
Training is tailored to individual progress. Improvement varies and depends on the dog, environment and the owner consistently following guidance. No specific behavioural result is guaranteed.
Owner participation and information
The owner must disclose training challenges, relevant bite or aggression history, medication and significant behavioural changes; follow written collection and handover instructions.
Cancellation
Dog Day School bookings require at least 14 days’ notice before the booked start date, subject to the 24-hour voluntary grace period and statutory cancellation rights. For ongoing plans, the applicable schedule and cancellation rules should also be shown at checkout.
Dog Hotel
Overnight stays, including any applicable membership and suitability requirements.
Admission and suitability
Hotel stays are subject to advance approval, accommodation availability, behavioural suitability, vaccinations, parasite prevention and any existing-customer or membership requirements explained at booking. We may request a trial or assessment where necessary.
Care and emergencies
Owners must supply current feeding instructions, medication details, veterinary and emergency contact information and approved collection persons. Dogs may be separated, moved to safer accommodation or referred for veterinary attention when reasonably necessary for safety or welfare.
Collection and additional nights
Check-in and checkout windows and any additional night charges must be shown with the booking confirmation. Where collection is delayed and a further night is necessary, reasonable additional charges may apply as disclosed at the time.
Cancellation
Hotel stays require at least 14 days’ notice before check-in, subject to the 24-hour voluntary grace period and statutory rights.
Professional Grooming
Grooming provided as a professional appointment.
Coat condition and grooming plan
Owners should disclose matting, skin conditions, health concerns, bite history, grooming sensitivities and any veterinary restrictions. Where matting, coat condition or handling needs make the requested groom unsuitable, we may reasonably adapt the service, recommend a shorter cut or stop where necessary for welfare.
Distress, aggression and unfinished grooms
If a dog is distressed or displays unsafe behaviour, the groomer may pause the groom, normally allowing a short settling break where safe, and try again. Where it remains unsafe or contrary to the dog’s welfare, the groom may be stopped and collection requested. Where the service has commenced and must be stopped due to previously undisclosed or unpredictable dog behaviour, the scheduled fee ordinarily remains payable and is not refunded solely because the groom is unfinished, insofar as lawful. This does not remove the customer’s rights if Creedons fails to provide the service with legally required care and skill.
Cancellation
Professional grooming requires at least 7 days’ notice. A discretionary credit may be offered if a cancelled slot can be filled, as described in the cancellation section.
Student & Junior Grooming
Grooming booked for learning and assessment purposes.
Who performs the service
Student grooming is undertaken by a learner as part of practical training, with supervision and support arrangements appropriate to the course. It is not the same as a professional grooming appointment. Junior-groomer services must be described accurately at checkout according to who is providing the work.
Appointment length and outcome
Student appointments can take longer than professional appointments and may be adapted to the learner’s level, the dog’s coat and temperament, teaching requirements and welfare. The work may not achieve a particular style or finish and may be curtailed if the dog becomes distressed or unsafe.
Behaviour and incomplete appointments
Owners must disclose previous grooming difficulty, aggression, matting, illness and handling sensitivities. Where the booked session has commenced and cannot reasonably be completed due to the dog’s behaviour or welfare needs, the booked fee ordinarily remains payable, insofar as lawful. There is no automatic refund merely because the full groom cannot be completed; statutory rights for deficient service remain unaffected.
Cancellation
Unless a distinct student-grooming cancellation period is clearly disclosed before booking, the 7-day grooming cancellation rule applies, subject to the grace period and statutory rights.
Group Training & Compatibility Classes
Classes and scheduled training programmes.
Approach and participation
Owners are responsible for handling their dog safely, keeping the dog on an appropriate lead where instructed and following staff directions. Please disclose reactivity, bite risk, medical concerns and other information relevant to group safety before attending.
Training results
Learning outcomes vary. We do not guarantee that a behaviour will disappear or that an individual dog will reach a particular level. Training advice is educational and not a replacement for veterinary care.
Cancellation
Group training and compatibility classes require 7 days’ notice before the class or programme start, subject to the grace period and statutory rights.
Private Training & Behaviour Consultations
One-to-one training sessions and behaviour support.
Scope and information
Recommendations are based on information supplied by the owner and observations possible during the consultation. Owners must honestly disclose bite incidents, aggression, medical diagnoses, medication, the dog’s history and any safety risks. We may require veterinary assessment or referral where behaviour may have a medical cause.
Implementation and outcomes
Behaviour plans and private training require consistent implementation, safe management and sometimes veterinary involvement. No specific outcome or timeframe is guaranteed. Owners remain responsible for supervision and safe management of the dog after the consultation.
Appointment changes and packages
Private training: 48 working hours’ notice for a full cancellation refund, and 24 hours’ notice to request rescheduling, subject to the applicable grace period and statutory rights. Where a private-training package is cancelled after a consultation has been delivered, the consultation is charged at its disclosed standalone price and the lawful balance refunded. Whether these terms also apply to specialist behaviour consultations must be confirmed at checkout.
Cancellations, Refunds & Rescheduling
Please read this section together with the rules for the particular service.
24-hour voluntary booking grace period
For each new booking, Creedons offers a voluntary 24-hour period beginning when the booking is confirmed, during which the owner may cancel and request a refund of the booking payment for services not already supplied. If an appointment starts within that period, services already supplied or unavoidable, reasonable, lawfully recoverable costs may be charged only where permitted and properly disclosed. This goodwill policy does not replace or reduce any longer statutory withdrawal right that applies to a particular distance or off-premises contract. Certain date-specific leisure or accommodation bookings may fall within legal exceptions.
Notice periods
Daycare: 48 hours. Dog Day School: 14 days. Dog Hotel: 14 days before check-in. Professional grooming and student grooming: 7 days. Group training and compatibility classes: 7 days. Private training: 48 working hours for a full refund and 24 hours for a reschedule request. A separate specialist-behaviour booking rule, if any, must be stated before checkout. These notice periods operate after the voluntary grace period, subject to mandatory legal rights.
How to cancel
Please request cancellations or rescheduling in writing using the contact email address or messaging channel stated in your booking confirmation. The time the written request is received is used to assess notice, subject to applicable law. Refunds are returned by the appropriate original payment method wherever practicable.
Late cancellations and no-shows
Where a customer cancels after the applicable notice deadline or does not attend, the prepaid booking fee or disclosed deposit will ordinarily be retained to cover the reserved slot and reasonably anticipated loss, insofar as proportionate and legally permitted. The fee is not a penalty and does not affect statutory remedies. We may reduce or refund the amount where a replacement booking materially reduces our loss or other circumstances justify this.
Goodwill credits and exceptional circumstances
For grooming or group training cancelled inside the notice period, management may, if the appointment can be filled, issue a discretionary credit valid for six months, with the previously documented €5 administration fee where legally permissible and clearly disclosed. Management may consider documented emergencies or veterinary circumstances and a one-off discretionary exception. Decisions are made reasonably and do not override legal rights.
Changes by Creedons
If Creedons cancels or cannot supply a confirmed booking, customers will be offered an appropriate rescheduling or refund remedy consistent with Irish consumer law. Credit-only solutions will not replace a mandatory right to a refund.
Photography, Education & Privacy
Dog imagery is part of the Creedons care and educational environment.
Photographs and recordings of dogs
Photographs and videos of dogs may be taken during services and used by Creedons for staff and student education, service updates, our website, social media and advertising. Our services are operated in environments where photographing groups of dogs is a normal activity; we are unable to offer a general guarantee that an individual dog will never appear in such recordings. Please contact us before booking if this is unsuitable so we can discuss whether the service can be provided. We will make reasonable efforts to avoid capturing identifiable people without an appropriate lawful basis.
Client information and marketing communications
Owner and dog booking information is used to administer services, contact owners regarding safety and appointments, and meet relevant legal obligations. Promotional email or text marketing is not automatically authorised by accepting these terms: it is managed separately in accordance with applicable data protection and direct marketing rules. For full details of data uses, retention, rights and contact channels, see the current Creedons privacy notice on the website.
Keeping a record of agreement
By accepting these terms at booking, the client confirms they have read the general terms and the applicable service-specific terms, have supplied material information accurately, and understand the relevant booking conditions. A dated version of the terms and evidence of acceptance should be retained by the booking system.
